Upon entering our office, our receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you fill out our new patient forms to provide us with general information about you and your condition. If you prefer, you can download and complete our forms prior to your first visit. They are available in the New Patient Center.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Eric Krebs to discuss your health-related problems and concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Eric Krebs to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations. Together, we will determine how chiropractic care will help you meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Eric Krebs will perform a complete chiropractic examination. This examination includes a postural analysis, testing your ranges of motion and reflexes, as well as other standard neurologic, orthopedic, and diagnostic procedures. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray Studies/Laboratory Testing
Your specific condition may require us to refer you for x-rays or laboratory tests such as urinalysis or blood work. These tests help us rule out more serious conditions and assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
After the consultation, examinations, and any necessary testing have been performed, Dr. Eric Krebs will give you a report of findings. He will discuss his recommendations with you and answer the four most popular questions:
- What is wrong with me?
- Can you help me?
- How long is it going to take to correct?
- How much is it going to cost?
Once you have been presented with all of the information, you will be able to make the right decision regarding your health care needs. If Dr. Eric Krebs believes we can help you, he will recommend a treatment plan and wellness program. If you have a condition that requires a referral to a specialist, Dr. Krebs will assist you in finding the right doctor.
Under normal circumstances, you will be treated at the conclusion of your first appointment. This may include spinal adjustments, physio-therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. Dr. Eric Krebs will determine which treatment methods will be most beneficial, based on the severity of your condition. The treatments are interactive so that nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Prior to leaving our office, you will be given instructions to be conducted at home. This may include the application of ice or heat, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire an overall wellness lifestyle, our wellness team will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success.
Each body is unique and therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is; maintaining a healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control, and reducing stress.
